How we do it

The United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education Demonstration School, Educare of Miami-Dade, is where it all comes together. Leading research and expert feedback on early education’s best practices are put into effect, and incorporated into classrooms comprised of infants and toddlers from different economic and cultural backgrounds. Nurturing caregivers fuel young minds in a state-of-the-art environment. The school also allows for observation so that best practices can be reviewed without interrupting staff and students.

Educare Miami provides a model program which offers children an ideal environment and experience to learn and grow; showcases best practices in early care and education; and models various design solutions to show that quality childcare is attainable at an affordable price.

In the Spring of 2008, the Center became a member of the renowned Bounce Learning Network, a partnership between the Buffett Early Childhood Fund and the Ounce of Prevention Fund. Educare Miami is the Bounce Learning Network’s seventh Educare site. Each Educare site is an early childhood education center open full-day and full-year, with degreed teachers in every classroom, working together in a growing network to advance the quality of early care and education in their own states and across the country.
